Remember getting real, live cards? Real, live letters? This year I am sending birthday/love cards to my friends/family. I collect pretty, ornate, cunty, blank cards (I do cunty, ornate planners too; shout-out to Papaya Art on my 2012 Book of Days) so now I have a chance to use them regularly. I was going to post the cards I am currently using but I don’t want to spoil it for a friend to whom I recently mailed a card. Little gestures like this can be so appreciated by people. I’m doing my part.

I think it’s a shame that many people will never get to hear the nicest things about them because everyone waits until they die. I will not let that happen to my loved ones and I can only hope they do the same for me. At least on birthdays, I will make it a point to tell people what I love about them and what makes them special.

My birthday is May 25th. Just thought y’all should know.
